Gangotri to Bhojkharak ItineraryTrek 8 Kms, Stay Camp.Begin your day with a visit to the sacred Gangotri Temple in the morning.Purchase any remaining trek essentials from the local market.Cross the bridge over the Bhagirathi River and start the climb on the right-hand side.The first few kilometers of the trek are steep, so maintain a steady pace to avoid exhaustion.The trail initially passes through pine trees and gradually transitions into a mix of fir and bhoj trees.Along the trek, enjoy views of Kedar Ganga flowing deep down in the gorge to your left. The sound of the river and whispering trees create a serene atmosphere.Catch your first glimpse of Thalaysagar mountain, motivating you with every step closer to this mystical peak.Just before reaching Bhoj Kharak, you will encounter a steep rock section known as the "Spider Wall."This section is tricky but manageable in dry conditions; however, it can be challenging in snow-covered terrain, requiring careful navigation.Once you successfully cross the Spider Wall, continue towards Bhoj Kharak.Bhoj Kharak, located at 3,780 meters above sea level, is a modest campsite where you will rest for the night.If you arrive by noon and feel fit, you can push further to reach Lower Kedar Kharak the same day.

Day 3: Bhoj Kharak to Kedar Kharak ItineraryTrek 5 Kms, Stay CampStart the 5 km stretch, which includes rugged terrain, but with every half-hour, the scenery changes dramatically.The trek begins through a flora-rich trail, with numerous Bhojpatra trees and colorful wild bushes surrounding you.As you move forward, the view of Manda Peaks starts to reveal itself, offering a mesmerizing landscape.Stunning views of Bhrigupanth Peak come into view as you trek closer to Kedar Kharak.Be cautious as you cross the landslide-prone zone of Gila Pahar. If this section is particularly difficult, consider an alternative route by trekking down to Kedar Ganga, crossing the river, and hiking upstream to bypass the Gila Pahar area.After successfully navigating Gila Pahar, continue towards Lower Kedar Kharak (4,100 meters).A wide valley opens up, leading you to the stunning meadow of Kedar Kharak, situated at 4,280 meters above sea level.This 5 km stretch demands physical strength and endurance, but the effort is well worth it. Kedar Kharak is one of the most beautiful campsites in the Gangotri National Park region.The meadow is frequently visited by Bharal (Blue Sheep) grazing in the area, making it an excellent spot for photography.Enjoy the surreal sight of Bhrigupanth and Thalaysagar peaks standing tall together, creating an unforgettable view.

Kedarkharak to Kedartal and Parikrama, Return to Kedarkharak ItineraryTrek 12 Kms, Stay CampBegin your trek from Kedarkharak to Kedar Tal, covering a 5 km stretch mostly through moraines and glacier-covered terrain.If trekking in June, expect to trek over snow for the last few kilometers before reaching Kedar Tal.Cross a brook with icy cold water and climb steep, rocky terrain.Follow cairn markings to stay on the correct trail.As you climb the final ridge, Kedar Bamak Glacier comes into view, along with its glacial lakes.The foot of Mount Bhrigupanth and Mount Thalaysagar merges with the Kedar Bamak Glacier, offering an awe-inspiring sight.After about an hour, the pristine Kedar Tal lake appears, reflecting the beauty of Thalaysagar Peak on its still waters.Spend some time exploring and taking in the breathtaking views before returning to Kedarkharak via the same route.End the day back at Kedarkharak, enjoying the serene beauty of the campsite.
