Looming large over the surrounding plains, it is an arduous and steeper and steeper hill that tapers in between and takes a sharp turn uphill along narrow ridges. Passing through the thick forest and then further on the rocky mountain is a trek which consists of narrow paths and ladders and rock steps that ascend up to the peak, and a very old temple that looks over a vast expanse of dense jungle, villages and farther mountains. As one of the most difficult treks at night it ends with the grandest sunrises that can be witnessed anywhere in the whole of Tamil Nadu, and that which the exhausted lot thoroughly enjoys to its utmost from having achieved climbing the formidable mountain range and the whole of the trek can only be described as, A panorama to be watched with utmost concentration, combined with spiritual fervour and high thrill for the bold.
